Our hike takes place in the mountains of Puntallana first, and then we will finish in the coast, only 2miles away in straight line.
The first part of our hike takes place in one of the best laurel forests of the island, where huge laurel trees and enormous ferns grow in this very humid microclimate, unique in the Canary Islands.
As we reach the highest point of the hike, Mirador Somada Alta we enjoy this great balcony over the northeast part of the island. Then we descend towards San Bartolo, where we have our lunch break.
For the second part there is a longer hike through the spectacular gorge of La Galga and the Banana plantiations of this area with the finishing line over in the view point of Nogales beach.
Our recomendation for you is to bring for any tour good hiking or sport clothes and shoes with a good profile. It´s also a good idea to bring sun protection and a cup. Good warm jacket in winter and something against the rain, just in case!.
Do not forget ALWAYS to bring for the hikes water and food, as much as you need.
We also offer to our clients our wooden hiking sticks and if you have forgotten your shoes, you can always hire one of our comfortable walking boots.
