A bus Tour to Roque de Los Muchachos offering jaw-dropping surroundings and views across the island will be a highlight trip to your holiday in La Palma.
One of the most spectacular roads in the island, from Santa Cruz de La Palma to el Roque de Los Muchachos a winding road that snakes its way across the island. We will drive through five different vegetation levels, an unique road in the island up to the Roque de los Muchachos, the highest point on the island at 2426m.
Up there we are able to enjoy a pretty amazed view above the clouds up to Tenerife and La Gomera as well as the Observatory of Roque de Los Muchachos. This observatory it´s one of the three most important observatories in the planet and here in La Palma we have a total of 15 telescopes and all of them we will be able to see in this tour.
Several viewpoints are waiting for us to explore the rim of the National Park with stonished views deep inside of our National Park Caldera de Taburiente.
Once we have finished our visit to Roque de Los Muchachos we will drive down to the small chapel of Las Nieves just outside Santa Cruz, one of the most visited churches in La Palma. The sanctuary is home to a beautiful gothic polychrome terracotta statue of the island’s patron saint. The surronding are very relax and pleasent to just sit and enjoy the view or to drink a nice local coffee.
After this very special stop we drive to the final visit of this tour, the viewpoint of La Concepción, the best viewpoint over Santa Cruz.
