Tour to the South La Palma + Cumbre Vieja and Aridane Valley + Cumbrecita viewpoint

Our tour also visit Las Manchas area, badly damage by the last volcanic eruptions of Cumbre vieja as well as the landscape of Teneguía Volcano.
The light house, down in the southern tip of La Palma will be the perfect place to finish our tour.
This tour to the South Volcanoes in La Palma will be your best opportunity to visit new landscape, free of vegetation and very new. It´s in fact the yougest land in Europe so far. We are talking of course of the South of La Palma, Las Manchas and Fuencaliente.
After pick up all our clients from Santa Cruz de La Palma, Los Cancajos Hotels and Parador Hotel we start with our guides bus tour driving direction Mazo, a small and interesting village half way up in the Cumbre vieja east ridge where the vegetation grows perfectly due to the constant humidity that brings the trade winds, our “Vientos Alisios”.
Many houses along the main road and plenty of colorfull plants decorating this road.
Once we arrive in Fuencaliente our other main place to visit we will continue a bit more through this windy roads up to Las Manchas. In this town we are able to see the sad reality and big problem that the locals are facing with the ash that fall from the sky from the eruption of Cumbre Vieja.
In this town of Las Manchas we will also be able to see the old lava flows of San Juan Volcano eruption in 1949. In this flows now the locals have learnes to grow vines. Wonderful local La Palma wines are made here.
Next place in our visit will be Fuencaliente where we will also make a confort stop and coffee time. Don´t forget to order with your coffee or barraquito one of the local Almendrados, the are so tasty.
Our excursion in the south of La Palma continue now to Las Salinas. This is a very special place because it´s the only traditional salinas in working conditions in La Palma. Great place for photos.
On the way up for this wonderful roads in the south we have a great opportunity to see the Tenguía Volcano as well as the San Antonio Volcano. The two most important volcanic craters in the south. This area it´s specially visited in one of our hikes.
The bus trip in La Palma will come to an end as we start driving back on the costal road up to San Antonio and Los Cancajos once again. The final stop of this day trip will be Santa Cruz de La Palma
